Our Services Provided

We’re partnering with the justice system to strengthen those reentering with their mental health and substance abuse while also focusing on crisis and trauma-focused programs and systems that will further strengthen an individual's ability to integrate back into the community. We’re equipping those with substance abuse and mental health issues and those re-entering the community with the skills and knowledge needed to help themselves and each other. Our compassionate outpatient recovery and treatment facilities are here to offer a safe space for people to heal and rebuild their lives in a positive way.

Telehealth Therapy:

A forensic interview is a neutral, fact-finding, legally defensible in court. The interviewer is a highly trained professional who interviews children, adolescents, and adults to assist authorities and partner agencies in determining various things, such as abuse and competency. We provide the assessment and treatment of individuals with mental illnesses, including persons with co-occurring substance use disorders, who are participants in the North Carolina Mental Health/Drug Court program or who are referred to determine eligibility for the program. Forensic interviews are legally sound because they ensure the interviewer's objectivity, employ non-leading techniques and emphasize accurate interview documentation via audio and video recording.

Individual Outpatient Therapy:

Our agency is Halifax County's professional DWI services provider. We offer DWI Assessments, ADETS, short-term and Long-term treatment programs, and out-of-state reviews for DWI offenders seeking to satisfy the North Carolina Department of Motor Vehicles requirements. DWI classes are evidenced-based or evidenced-derived methods proven to reduce the risk of future DWI offenses.

Driving While Intoxicated (DWI)
NCDMV Evaluator (SAE):

We provide comprehensive clinical assessments for individuals referred by the Department of Motor Vehicles who would like to regain driving privileges related to DWI/ DUI/ DWLR/ habitual offender and/or any substance-related convictions.

We provide individual outpatient therapy for mental health and substance clients who need treatment.

Counseling can benefit couples looking to strengthen their emotional connection in all stages of their relationship. Online sessions are held from the safety of your own home with both couples at a convenient time through our easy scheduling platform.

Home & Community Based Services 1915(i)
  • Community Living and Support (CLS): CLS includes help for a person on the spectrum that allows them to live at home (whatever type of home that might be) and participate in community life.

Forensic Services:
  • Community Transition: these are services and supports that help someone transition from one setting to another, often from a more institutional setting to one in the community.

  • Respite: this service gives caregivers a break by supporting the person in the main caregiver’s absence

We also are in the process of providing Substance Use Intensive Outpatient, outpatient and long term after-care counseling in the Eastern region of NC. Equafinality B, LLC’s Intensive Outpatient Programs (SAIOP or SACOT) will be a core program at our Carteret County location. SAIOP, by definition, is an outpatient counseling group that meets for 3 hours, no fewer than 3 times per week. SACOT, by definition, is an outpatient counseling group that meets for 4 hours, no fewer than 5 times per week.

Intensive Outpatient (IOP):
We serve Halifax, Northampton, Pitt, Carteret, Edgecombe/Nash, Lenoir, and Surrounding Counties.

Our Owners

James graduated with his bachelor’s degree in African American studies and continued on to get his master’s degree in addiction/professional counseling. Mr. Tucker is a licensed substance abuse counselor with over 15 years’ experience in mental health and substance abuse.

Keirstin graduated from Regent University with her master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Ms. Cotto is a licensed clinical mental health and addiction specialist with over ten years of experience in the behavioral health field. She specializes in forensics, trauma, and DWI services, including ADETS.
